No, unfortunately you need an active phone line order for the unit to connect to the response center.

Will my Medical Alert Machine work if the power is out?
As long as the phone line is still active the machine will run on its back up battery. The battery will last for approximately 48 hours. Once the power is restored the battery will automatically recharge.

How far away from my Medical Alert Machine will the button work?
The range test will show you exactly how far your button can go. In a standard open area, the range is approximately 200 yards (600 feet).

Do I need to remove my panic button when showering or bathing?
No, the panic button is completely waterproof. It is encouraged that you wear the button while bathing since the majority of falls in the home happen in the bathroom.
